WRVS Heritage Plus Conference. Living Memory: Reminiscence, Oral History and Intergenerational Work

Region: SouthEast  Location: Conference Centre, University of Sussex, Brighton
Day of event: 17th September 2010

WRVS Heritage Plus has been delivering a range of creative and participatory events, activities, exhibitions and outings celebrating and recording older peoples individual and community histories since 2007, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The conference event will exhibit the work of the WRVS Heritage Plus and highlight outcomes from its social impact evaluation on social inclusion and heritage engagement.

"It’s not about doing something for older people, it’s about what older people can do for history and the community, their community. A project that is designed to use the huge assets of older people’s memories and experience to capture it for posterity; but also to disseminate it into local communities".

Craig Muir, WRVS Older People Advisor (Dept. of Health)

At The Conference Centre, University of Sussex, Brighton.

Friday the 17th of September 2010.
