
Conference 2022 Online Ticket
Online conference fee includes: live streams of all conference plenary sessions, a single stream of parallel panel sessions, conference abstracts, online networking drop-in session. Please note: not all panels and sessions will be available via the online stream. A full stream throughout the two days will be broadcast via Zoom, but not all parallel sessions will be available. Please be aware of this when booking an online ticket.
Payment: There are two methods of payment. You can pay online via PayPal, debit or credit card or you can make an offline payment where an invoice will be sent to your organisation. Please select the appropriate option in the booking form.
Bursary fund donation: this year we are inviting delegates to support the provision of bursary support to individuals who may not otherwise be able to attend the conference. You can add a bursary donation to your ticket on the booking form. If you wish to donate a different way, please contact polly.owen@ohs.org.uk

- Plenary – ‘When Home is a Hostile Environment: Voices of the Windrush Generation and their Descendants’: Juanita Cox.
- Drawing upon oral history recordings, this paper will explore the impact of Britain’s changing nationality and immigration legislation on members of the ‘Windrush Generation’ and their descendants. It will also look at how activists have striven to make ‘home’ a less hostile environment for the ‘Windrush’ community and for themselves.
