OHS AGM 2020

Dear Oral History Society members

AN INVITATION TO TAKE PART

ORAL HISTORY SOCIETY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, 1.00-2.00PM SATURDAY 4 JULY 2020

I’m writing to invite you to join us for a special AGM on 4 July via Zoom.  The ongoing pandemic has forced us to postpone our annual conference until next year but we have decided to go ahead with our AGM and transform it into a Q+A about the Society and its various activities.

We’d like to conduct the official business of the meeting before 4 July by asking you to approve the OHS Annual Accounts and OHS Annual Report which have been posted here: https://www.ohs.org.uk/about/documents/. The OHS trustees have approved these and recommend them to members. We’re also asking members – exceptionally due to the current circumstances – to re-elect en bloc all the current OHS officers and committee members.

Please contact me at rob.perks@bl.uk by 26 June 2020 if you have any objections to approving the annual report and accounts, and to the re-election (for this year only) of the officers and committee.

The AGM will give you an opportunity to ask questions about any aspect of the Society’s activities: perhaps about progress with the strategic plan, or about plans for Special Interest Groups, or about our conference or journal or training programme,or about how we’re managing the organisation in the current health crisis. Society officers and trustees will be on hand to answer your questions or hear your views about any aspect of the OHS.  It’s your meeting.

RSVP: If you’d like to take part in the online AGM on 4 July at 100pm please email caiparryjones@ohs.org.uk with your name (and question if you have one). Cai will then send you a link to the zoom meeting. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Rob Perks, OHS Secretary
